Grévy Zebra, Ol Pejeta 2022
The image was taken whilst participating in the Ol Pejeta Immersive Conservation Experience where we had the opportunity to learn about what is being done here to safeguard the small population here. The Grévy zebra is classified as endangered by the IUCN with approximately only 2000 remaining. Grevys are the biggest of the zebra species distinguishable by their thinner stripes and white belies compared to the plains zebra and have larger fluffier ears. It's easy to get carried away taking portraits or pictures of animals in their environment and so I wanted to capture and focus on the details of this animal in this particular frame.
